Free 1 Hour Golf Cart Tour – August 8th & 9th!

Enjoy a free, 1 hour Golf Cart Tour of Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park in celebration of our 10th Anniversary. Learn about the history and ecology of the Park from long time volunteer and Golf Cart Tour guide Jim. Tour begin at the Public Parking lot at 10 am. 

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a mask if you wish. Please stay home if you are unwell or exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms.

Glenbow Ranch History Guided Walk – August 8th

Join long time steward Alice on a guided hike in the Park. Learn about the history and wildlife of Glenbow Ranch. This tour is roughly 8 kms. Please dress for the weather, bring a hat, water and snacks. This hike is not recommended for children under 12.

People of Glenbow Golf Cart Tour – August 9th (2:00-3:00pm)

The People of Glenbow History Tour: Take a peek into the lives of those who worked and lived at Glenbow Quarry from 1906-1913. With stops at Glenbow Townsite and the Workers’ Quarters, archaeologist and author, Shari Peyerl, will regale you with stories of notable residents including The Spook, the female quarry employee, and the local embezzler!

10th Anniversary Wildflower Walk – August 9th (9:30 am – 11:30 am)

Join our Vegetation Management Lead Blake as he identifies and explains our beautiful wildflower and grass species. This guided walk will include frequent stops. Please dress for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes for walking on shale paths. Bring water, snacks and a hat.
