Summer Camps

GRPF Summer Camps 2026

Once again, GRPF will be hosting our fun packed nature based camps in the beautiful surroundings of Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park. Located just 5 minutes outside of Cochrane, and 10 minutes away from Tuscany, we will spend our days out in nature, learning about the park, its history, and about some of the many animals and plants that live here.

Our themed camps will offer the chance to go pond dipping, to build a real bison skeleton and to dig for artifacts. We will use GPS handsets to navigate around the park, go biking, enjoy golf cart adventures, crafts, games and much more!

Camps run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, but early drop off and pickup is available from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm at no extra cost.

Early Bird Pricing in effect! Book before March 15, 2026 and save!

2026 GRPF Summer Camps FAQs

GRPF offers summer camps for a wide range of ages, with programs designed for children ages 6 to 8, 9 to 13, and teens ages 13 to 17. Each camp is structured with age appropriate activities, supervision levels, and learning experiences to ensure campers feel supported, engaged, and challenged in a positive way.

Yes. If your child will turn the minimum required age for the camp at any point during the current calendar year, they are still eligible to attend the camp. This allows families to plan ahead and register children who are developmentally ready, even if their birthday falls later in the year.

Each day includes a mix of outdoor exploration, guided learning activities, games, and creative projects. Depending on the camp, children may hike, explore wetlands, take part in navigation challenges, bike park trails, work on art projects, or learn leadership skills. All activities are designed to be fun, engaging, and educational.

The majority of activities take place outdoors within Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park. Campers spend their days exploring natural environments, learning about local ecosystems, and enjoying fresh air. Some activities may include sheltered or indoor components depending on weather and programming needs.

Camps are led by trained and knowledgeable staff who are experienced in outdoor education and working with children and youth. Camp leaders provide close supervision, structured activities, and a supportive environment that prioritizes safety, inclusion, and positive group dynamics.

Yes. Each camper is required to have a parent or legal guardian complete a camp registration form prior to attending. A link to the required 2026 Summer Camp Registration Form will be sent to families before the camp begins. This ensures GRPF has all necessary information related to emergency contacts, medical needs, and participation consent.

You can find the form following this link: https://grpf.ca/2026-summer-camp-registration-form/

No prior experience is required for the majority of GRPF camps as they are designed to welcome beginners while still offering meaningful challenges for more experienced campers. Staff provide instruction and guidance so every child can participate comfortably, regardless of their previous exposure to outdoor activities, navigation, or creative programming. The only camp requiring experience is Bike Glenbow as we will be biking up to 10km per day. A well-maintained geared bike and helmet are required also.

Campers should arrive with weather appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear, a packed lunch, snacks, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and any required personal items. For the Bike Glenbow Camp, participants must bring their own geared bike and helmet, and must be able to bike about 10km per day. A detailed packing list is typically provided upon registration.

Camps run rain or shine, as outdoor learning is part of the experience. Activities may be adjusted to suit weather conditions to ensure camper safety and comfort. In cases of extreme weather, programming may shift to more sheltered activities.

Registration is completed online, and spaces are limited for each camp to ensure a high quality experience and appropriate supervision ratios. Early registration is encouraged, as camps often fill quickly each summer.

Yes, we do have a waitlist for camper’s wanting to attend a specific camp. Visit this page to sign up – https://grpf.ca/summer-camp-wait-list/
