Historic Calgary Week 2025

Explore Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park (run by the Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation) and find out about its rich history. Park stewards Alice Fedosoff and Shari Peyerl will lead a hiking tour of Yodel Loop which covers about 5 km and has several very steep elevation changes. During the hike and at scenic viewpoints, learn about the history of Glenbow quarry, town, school and ranch, as well as the high society of Millionaire Hill. This tour features stories about some children from Glenbow’s past. Please dress for changing weather and remember hiking shoes, walking poles, hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, and water.
