Behind the Badge: Protecting Alberta’s Parks and Crown Lands

Cochrane Conservation Officer Kelli Steffler will be speaking on her role as an Alberta Conservation Officer in the Crown Land Enforcement Branch. She will discuss the responsibilities of Conservation Officers in protecting Alberta’s public lands and protected areas, including enforcing provincial legislation, resource conservation, and promoting safe and responsible outdoor recreation. Attendees will gain insight into the daily duties of a Conservation Officer and the challenges faced in managing Alberta’s diverse landscapes.

This presentation will also highlight common issues encountered in parks & on crown land and how public can protect and enjoy Alberta’s natural spaces responsibly.
